What is Physiotherapy
A physiotherapist is a university educated health professional and a recognized member of your health care team.
As primary health care professionals, physiotherapists combine in-depth knowledge of how the body works with specialized hands-on clinical skills to assess, diagnose and treat symptoms of illness, injury or disability. With your independence in mind, a physiotherapists goal is to restore, maintain and maximize your strength, function, movement and overall well-being. Physiotherapists prescribe personalized therapeutic exercises, and provide essential education about the body, what keeps it from moving well, how to restore mobility and independence, and how to avoid or prevent bodily harm.

Denturist Services

Why a Denturist?

Denturists are independent professionals, licensed and trained to provide removable denture prosthetic services directly to the public. Not only do we do the intra oral procedures necessary to make your denture, we fabricate it, too!
The immediate transfer of information required to do this precise work flows smoothly from operatory to in-house laboratory, resulting in fewer problems and a happier patient. Anyone can consult a denturist without a referral from another health-care professional. Denturists provide the most cost and time effective denture treatment. Most Denturists laboratory work is performed on the premises by the denturist who sees you. This ensures quality of care is consistent and personal.
Most Denturists fees are covered by dental plans, Veterans Affairs, Social Services, NIHB and other private insurance.
Standard Denture
Standard denture may fit comfortably and chew well, but are designed for the average patient using basic tooth shades and shapes. Every denture patient especially those with oral tissues which have resorbed (shrunk) or those who have unusual jaw relationships (bite) may require a personalized denture that utilizes premium materials and precision techniques. With premium personalized dentures, esthetics, comfort fit and function combine to allow your smile to look more natural. Premium personalized quality dentures give confidence and provide optimum function while eating, speaking or laughing. Through the use of sophisticated instruments from the impressions of your jaws to the specific jaw movements you make, all your facial information is recorded. The Denturist is then able to recreate the character of your smile and restore the natural contour of your lips and facial muscles.

Partial Denture
Partial dentures fill the void when only some of the natural dentition is missing. From a small one or two tooth appliance, to a large restoration that replaces almost all the teeth, a partial denture is an excellent and economical way to restore your smile. Partial dentures are removable appliances designed to fit around and anchor to remaining natural dentition. They restore appearance and function as well serve to stabilize remaining dentition to help guard against natural teeth drifting into the unoccupied spaces created from extraction's. The number of natural teeth lost, and the position of what remains, makes quiet a difference in the type and design that may be best suited for your situation.
Implant/Support

Dental implants are artificial tooth roots generally made of titanium which have the property of adhering to bony tissue, referred to as osseotegration. On a lower jaw only two such abutments are most often required to secure a denture. This procedure is carried out at a dental office and generally performed under local anesthesia. The insertion of oral implants is relatively painless. Once the bone has fully healed around these implants sleeves, small posts are fitted into them and on these posts dentures are designed to clip on to. Once complete, the patient has a denture that snaps into place and no longer relies on suction as its only form of retention.

Repair
In most cases, your Denturist can restore and existing broken or cracked denture to its original state. Repairs may be required when breakage or chipping occurs, when one or more teeth need to be added to an existing denture, or because of wear and tear. Most repairs can easily be done in one day. If your denture requires a repair, it may be indicative of underlying problems, including age of the denture, worn teeth, or poor fit.

Reline

This consists of adding new base material to the tissue side of a denture so it fits properly. Your Denturist will need to take an impression inside your existing denture. Relining affects only the fit of your denture and will not change the appearance. Relines are required when tissue changes occur due to resorption (shrinkage). This can be due to: loss of weight, loss of teeth, loss of bone, ageing and or disease/illness.
Teeth Whitening
There are several causes for tooth discolouration, the most common being aging, staining substances (coffee, tea, colas, tobacco), trauma, tetracycline staining, excessive fluoride and nerve degeneration. A Denturist will determine of you are a viable candidate following a thorough examination. The tooth-whitening system is ideal for people who have healthy, unrestored teeth and would like to have a whiter, brighter smile. The whitening process is most effective on mildly discoloured teeth. Darker Stains might take longer to respond to treatment.
Mouth Guard
Athletic mouth guards are made of soft plastic. They are adapted to fit comfortably over the upper teeth. Mouth guards are important because the average cost of dental treatment over a lifetime for one tooth lost is approximately 5000. When it comes to sports equipment, mouth guards are priority. The protect not only teeth, but the lips, cheeks, and tongue. The also help protect a person from concussions and jaw fractures.
